POSITION: LAB TECHNICIAN

The Galkaio Medical Center Hospital is hiring a lab technician who will collect samples and performs tests on body fluids and tissue to assist doctors in the diagnosis for further evaluation and treatment of diseases.

Typical responsibilities include,

1. You will be conducting and supporting scientific investigations (blood, Urine, Abscess, culture, Urine, Swaps, spinal fluid, and sputum analysis) and experiments from the doctors of the hospital.
2. The technician must planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials.
3. The lab technician will be reporting to the head of the laboratory daily basis, weekly, monthly, yearly and analyzing data of the laboratory.
4. He will be demonstrating the procedures as it is without delay.
5. The technician he will be collecting, reporting, or testing samples as it is.
6. The laboratory technician will be maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility of the equipment.
7. He will provide technical support to all staffs under his supervision daily, weekly, yearly and when ever is necessary.
8. He will present all the results to the senior staffs or their concerned doctors.
9. He will do laboratory written reports, reviews and summarizes all the functions undergoing to the laboratory and he will be signed every result from the laboratory.
10. He will keep up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
11. The laboratory technician will be ordering and maintaining stock and resources, supervising staffs, and carryout risk assessments.

Laboratory technician Requirements and qualifications

1. Previous working experience as a laboratory technician for 3 year(s)
2. S/he will have bachelor of laboratory

POSITION: OT NURSE

Operating Room Nurse is a healthcare professional responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient care of the patient in the operating room.

Operating Room Nurse Requirements and qualifications

1. Previous working experience as an Operating Room Nurse for 4 year(s)
2. s/he will have BS or diploma in nursing
3. In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
4. Outstanding patient management skills

Position Responsibilities

Operating Room Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of OR Nurses include (but are not limited to): ƒ

1. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans ƒ
2. Conducts pre- and post-operative education to the patients undergoing surgeries.
3. Serves as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team ƒ Takes and monitors patients situations.ƒ
4. Ensures that operating on correct patient and the correct procedure is being performed and Provides basic, bedside care.ƒ
5. Assessing patient’s condition before surgery and flowing regularly.
6. Ensuring the operating room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instruments and equipment.
7. Keep the operation room sterilized and clean with limited entry.
8. Positioning the patient on operating table in appropriate table.
9. Reviewing the charts for their effectiveness, completeness, in accordance with their documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
10. Adhere all the health related health standards and safeties.
11. Controlling regularly all the machines and instruments their appropriate positions and function.
12. Working with closely all the teams in the operation room, sterilizers, anesthesia and everyone involved in operation theatre.

During the surgical procedure, OR Nurses can take the role ofCirculating Nurse, with the following additional duties;

1. Assists in positioning, responding to comfort/safety of patient
2. Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens
3. Observes and enforces strict standards of asepsis
4. Observes, checks and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm they are running smoothly
5. Handles patient documentation
6. Inventories all items both pre- and post-surgery

Physical Demands ƒ

1. Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds of work force.
2. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds of patient weight.
